Small business exchange

By Laura Haight

Businesses thrive on information.

Information about their customers. Information about their market. Information about new technology and advancements in their fields. In the early 21st century, the old paradigm was to hoard information.

But moving forward into recovery, it is small collaborative businesses not corporate hoarders that will build the next decade. So let's start out by being collaborative.

How much of a new business owner's time is spent figuring things out: best practices, bookkeeping tips, billing procedures, contracts, insurance, where to bank, what technology you really need and more?

If we work and collaborate together, we can make each other stronger and be stronger ourselves. So periodically in this blog, we'll look for best practices and ways established businesses can share ideas to help startups. And startups and can find some strength in numbers.

We are all in this together.
